E-learning seminar successful
Within the ICT 4 All Forum that was held on 24 – 25 Nov. 2009 in Hammamet – Tunisia, the Tunisian Association for scientific research assistance over the net Atars’ net and the International Centre for Science and High Technology of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (ICS-UNIDO) organized a thematic seminar on 23 November 2009 on: “E-learning on high technology and science for Developing Countries Strategy and synergies “.
After the welcome note, the representative of the ICS-UNIDO, Mr. Graziano presented the ICS strategy in e-learning: “E-learning in advanced technology and science for developing countries”.
Then, Mr. Combi the General Manager of WIDDOO Learning gave a speech about the strategy of WIDDOO within Public Private Partnerships.
Three panels were at the agenda: Production of knowledge, Management of knowledge and sharing of knowledge.
During the first panel, Mr. Fethi Farah, General Manager of INTERPRO, presented on behalf of Dr Dan Palmer General Manager of the ICDL foundation, the following topic: “ICDL certification, how can help bring the ICT skills to a wider audience” then he briefed about the Knowledge production in the Mediterranean environment.
The second speech within panel one was delivered by Mr. Maalik Maaza International Cooperation & Africa Desk Officer & INSTEAD Director about NANOAFNET (Nano Sciences African Network).
After some interesting discussions, panel two started with a speech given by Mr. Nadhir Douma, CEO & Founder of e-taalim.com (the first media portal about e-learning dedicated to executives & professionals in Africa and Arab countries).
Mr. Douma presented a study about the Uses of ICTs and Media for lifelong learning in Africa and the Arab states;/Situation & Perspectives.
Later, Mr. Habib Abdennadher talked about the leading e-learning initiative of the Tunisian Post which consists in offering online training for the Post’s employees and executives.
Right after him, Mr. Bechir Allouch presented the Tunisian Virtual University’s experience.
Panel 3 started by a contribution from Dr. Ahmed ELAMIN Director of Department of Information -/ALECSO about ALECSO projects following WSIS 2nd. phase (TUNIS 2005): WILL AND ACTION.
Then, Dr. Mounir Ghribi from ICS-UNIDO highlighted the importance of networking for strategic Marketing for Technology transfer.
The seminar ended with a discussion session and the signature of a convention between ATARS’NET and WIDDOO Learning.
