ICT: Arab- American partnership convention concluded in Tunis
The Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Standard Association of the United States of America signed on Tuesday in Tunis a partnership convention.
The convention aims at boosting cooperation between the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Standard Association as well as at meeting the requirements of AICTO members in matters of promotion of ICTs standards.
It also provides the opportunity for AICTO member countries to make the most as well as translate international standards and criteria adopted in the technological sector.
The convention was signed by Mrs. Khedija Ghariani AICTO Secretary-General and Mr. Charlton Adams, IEEE Chairman.
Mohamed Naceur Ammar, Minister of Communication Technologies chaired the event.
The IEEE is one the major international organizations tasked with setting criteria and standards of electronic and electrical applications systems.
