Sousse will host an IEEE conference
The prestigious IEEE professional association has chosen the town of Sousse to host its 10th International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies (ICALT).
Sousse is a Tunisian city with rich culture and a long-standing tradition in computer-based learning.
The ICALT conference will be held from July 5th till July 7th, 2010 and will be co-organized by the University of Tunis, the University of Sousse and the Informatics and Telematics Institute based in Athens.

The technical program will feature keynote address, workshops, and tutorials in addition to presentations of refereed papers. The Deadline for submitting papers has been extended to January 25th, 2010.
A doctoral consortium is planned at this conference. The Doctoral Consortium is a workshop for Ph.D. students from all over the world who are in the early phases of their dissertation work (i.e., in their first or second year). The goal of the Doctoral Consortium is to help students with their thesis and research plans by providing feedback and general advice on using the research environment in a constructive and international atmosphere. The Doctoral Consortium provides PhD students with the opportunity to meet and discuss with experts in their area. Students will present and discuss their thesis in the context of a well-known and established international conference outside of their usual university environment.
