It intends to enable people to see innovation at work, get immersed in virtual worlds, join the discussion on the ethical and practical implications of digitally enhanced learning, experience the highlights and challenges of the classroom evolution and find out all about smarter working environments which focus on achieving organizational results through collaborative intelligence and learning. OEB 2010 will intend to show how technology can provide a leaner, fitter workplace and boost collaborative learning

As indicated in their website, the aim of this year program “will be to move from discussion to learning, from theory to practical action.” This is what enables the sharing of experiences.  In addition, it will bring out the practical outcomes related to their achievements along with their effects and effectiveness.

The Seminar will include a special session entitled “Challenges and Opportunities for ICT and e-learning in the Middle East and North Africa”. It will be presided by Dr Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, the chairman of Global alliance for ICT and Development (UN-GAID). Renowned leaders and pioneers from all over the world as well as from the MENA region will be present. It will highlight best case studies, discuss the latest developments, determine possible pitfalls and most of all look at the future potential of this approach. The attendees will be accorded the chance to participate in debates about the e-learning market in the Middle East and North Africa and to obtain first-hand knowledge about key players in the e-learning sector in the region.

This year, StudyWorld focused on Studying in Spain with 30 Spanish educational institutions from all parts of the country represented at the Fair. Among them were 21 universities, which introduced fairgoers to their courses of study. Furthermore, the Universidad.es Foundation provided information about university admissions and financing an educational stay in Spain.

The Fair was accompanied by a seminar programme with 60 presentations on the topics of academic periods abroad and career planning. The event meets the needs of secondary and tertiary-level students, graduates and people on the job who are looking for an educational programme that fits their needs and desires.

ICWE’s partners in organising the event are the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
